N-A-C by AOR provides 500 mg of N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, or N-A-C per capsule. N-A-C is an acetylated form of the amino acid cysteine. Cysteine is a precursor to glutathione (GSH), which is a very important antioxidant produced in the body. Glutathione is responsible for removing toxins and heavy metals from the body.

N-A-C is approved as a drug for the use in preventing liver damage from acetaminophen overdose.
